Patrick Adrian Carroll was Born in Saint Addresse Normandy to a French Mother and British Father.

His early teenage years were Spent in Edegem Belgium, at the age of 15 he came to England.

After a Sucession of jobs he joined the Lorraine Squadron (342) FREE FRENCH AIRFORCE or FAFL (Forces aériennes françaises libres)as a Navigator Bomb aimer. Initially Flying Douglas Bostons from Hartford Bridge (Later renamed Blackbushe Airport) in Hampshire.

Whilst on a bombing raid in Belgium his plane was damaged by AK AK fire and he had to parachute.

After the War he served in the French Airforce in indo China (Vietnam).

He returned to England and retrained as an Air Traffic Controller working first at Blackbushe, where he met Marie Flynn a young Met Officer, They married and settled in Lightwater Surrey where they raised 6 Sons. He died in 2002 and is buried in Lightwater cemetary. Athough he lived most of his life in England he always though of himself as a foreigner. He was a Polyglot he spoke at least four languages loved to study italian russian german eat good food and listened to all types of music. He had specific views on politics and religion which he wrote in his memoires which I am in the process of attempting to publish on the internet.
